Nadia Comaneci, (born November 12 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej [now Onesti(born November 12, 1961 in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej, now One Romania) Romanian gymnast who was the first gymnast in history to receive a score of a perfect of 10 points in the Olympic competition. Bela Karalyi discovered Comaneci at age six. She would later be Romania's gymnastics coach. At first, she competed in the championships for juniors from Romania in 1969, she was 13th. And in 1970, won. She won three golds in her debut competition, a junior pre-Olympic meet in 1972 for communist countries. In 1973 and 1974, she became the junior all-round champion. Her first senior competition in 1975, she beat Russian Lyudmila Turkishcheva. The five-time European champion who won four golds and a silver. In 1976 she became the first person in the world to utilize a reversed double salto for a dismount off the parallel bars. Carol Marie Wayne was a born on the 6th of September 1942 in Chicago Illinois. Carol began her journey into the world of entertainment as a teenager. The path she took to success began with her joining Nina Wayne to perform in Ice Capades, a traveling performance. Ice Capades showcased performances of skating on ice performed by actors.
